The Brunswick County Register Of Deeds provides numerous services to the community and public, including recording legal documents, mapping, issuing marriage licenses, certifying documents, and administering oaths. The Register of Deeds is elected to a four-year term by the citizens of the county.

The Brunswick County Register of Deeds announces Recording Fee Changes effective October 1, 2016. The fee to record a Deed of Trust or Mortgage will be $64 for the first 35 pages plus $4 for each additional page.
The Brunswick County Register of Deeds announces a requirement for acreage parcels from the Tax Department, effective January 1, 2014.
Effective July 25, 2011, the Brunswick County Register of Deeds requires tax certification for deed recordings. This law requires that the Register of Deeds Office not accept any deed for recording unless certified by the Tax Collector.
