Voter Registration in Maine: How to Register

You can register to vote online, by completing a voter registration card at your town office or city hall, through any Bureau of Motor Vehicles branch office, at most state and federal social service agencies, or at designated voter registration drives. You can also download and print the Maine Voter Registration Application here. Please note that both sides of the card will print on one page.

If you are unable to print the voter registration application, contact your town clerk to have a voter registration card mailed to you. A hard copy of the voter registration card, with your original signature, must be on file with your town clerk, so it cannot be transmitted electronically.

Completed voter registration cards can be hand-delivered or mailed to your town office or city hall. Check this list for phone numbers and mailing addresses for each town and city.
