The Consultant Selection System Web (CSSWeb) provides Architecture, Engineering, and Related Services firms with an easy-to-use tool for collaborating with the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT). With CSSWeb, firms can:
- Register with NYSDOT (Prime and Sub-consultants)
- Submit general company information
- Submit payrolls
- Submit electronic Project Experience Questionnaires
- Meet Qualification requirements for A/E services
- Maintain company information
- View consultant information and experience profiles.

You can access CSSWeb to register and manage your company information. The current version was released on January 20, 2005.
NYSDOT also provides a tool to view the information and experience of registered consulting firms. This allows you to research competitors and the consulting market in New York.
Login Issues
- Login information is case-sensitive.
- Use the Forgotten Password link on the CSSWeb Login page to recover your username or reset your password.
- Note, if your account is locked after too many failed login attempts, you must reset your password.
- If you cannot log in after resetting your password, clear your browser’s cache. After clearing the cache, you will need to close all browser sessions to fully clear the browser cache and cookies.
- If you leave the application open and inactive for at least 15 minutes, the system will display a “ServletException” message, meaning you have been logged out of the application and will need to log back in. Any unsaved information prior to the automatic logout will need to be re-entered.
