KeanWise is Kean University’s online course registration system, allowing students to easily select and enroll in courses that fit their schedules and academic needs. This system provides students with access to information on courses, schedules, instructors, classrooms, and other important details.
Kean Online students can register for online courses through KeanWise as soon as registration opens. All Kean University students can register for online courses via KeanWise under the following stipulations: when registration opens for any course not designated as “Kean Online Only”; five business days prior to the start of the semester for any course designated as “Kean Online Only” and does not require any special application/permit. Consulting with an academic advisor prior to registration is always recommended.
Students can self-register for courses through KeanWise until the first day of the second class session. For any registration-related issues, students can email [email protected] using their Kean email address.
KeanWise displays a list of required textbooks for all online courses. Students can also find this information at the Kean University Bookstore. Purchasing textbooks before the course begins is recommended. The system also provides information on computer requirements for online learning. While owning a computer is not mandatory, having one with reliable internet access is essential for successful learning. Most online courses require the use of MS Office, and some courses may require a camera and microphone.
Tuition for online courses is equivalent to the in-state tuition for traditional on-campus courses. All online course announcements will be sent to the student’s Kean email. Checking email daily is crucial to avoid missing any important updates. On-campus students can take online classes and vice-versa, online students can also take on-campus classes; however, certain regulations apply and consulting with an academic advisor is recommended.
Online students can sign up for a virtual student ID card through the GET mobile app. They can also attend events, live on campus, and join clubs. However, online students planning to visit or stay on campus must submit immunization forms to student health services.
