AHIMA (American Health Information Management Association) offers a variety of free webinars for members and those interested in health information management. To participate, you’ll need to meet some basic system requirements.
Minimum system requirements for AHIMA online learning include support for Windows 7, 8, 10, and 11 as well as Mac OS. A high-speed broadband internet connection, cable or DSL, is required. The recommended web browser is Google Chrome, but Firefox and Microsoft Edge are also supported. All browsers should be updated to the latest version. Internet Explorer is not supported.
For hardware, you’ll need a minimum 1 GHz Intel or AMD processor, a minimum of 2GB of RAM, and any video processor required by the operating system. Hard drive space should meet the requirements of the operating system. The recommended screen resolution is at least 1024 x 768 for optimal viewing.
AHIMA also supports learning on tablets and mobile phones. Android devices running Android 5.0 or higher with the latest version of the Chrome browser are supported. For Apple devices, iOS with Safari or the latest version of Chrome is supported. On Windows 10, the latest versions of Edge, Chrome, and Firefox are all supported.
After completing an online course, you can request a score report for a $20 fee. This report includes information on student ID, student name, class name, score, percentage, and date of last attempt. To request a score report, email [email protected] and provide your phone number and a convenient time to be contacted regarding payment information.
Certificates of completion and CEUs will be available in the CEU Center of MyAHIMA within 48 hours of course completion. Please note that AHIMA no longer partners with the American Council on Education (ACE) for transcript services. For additional questions, please email [email protected].
