Registering to vote or updating your voter registration information is easy with this online application.
For security reasons, this application will automatically time out if you are inactive for more than five minutes. All data will be deleted, and you will have to restart the application from the beginning.
After completing the application, you can print and mail your registration or submit it online. If you plan to submit online, you must have your Louisiana driver’s license or Louisiana Special ID card on hand when you begin the process. There is an audit code on the card that you must enter. The audit code is a four-digit number labeled AUDIT on the front of the license.
NOTICE: The Louisiana Disabled Person Placard is not an acceptable form of identification as it does not contain a signature.
The Office of Motor Vehicles performs system maintenance from 1:00 AM to 4:00 AM CST daily. During this time, you may not be able to complete online processing, but the print and mail function will still be available.
Louisiana voter registration browser requirements are important to ensure a smooth registration process. The website is designed to work best with popular web browsers like Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Apple Safari.
You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader 6.0 or higher to print the registration document. Download Adobe for free if you do not already have it. You also need to enable JavaScript and Cookies in your browser for the online application to work correctly. If you encounter any issues with the Louisiana online voter registration process, you can email support for assistance.
To report a problem with the online registration process, send an email with a detailed description of the issue encountered.
